Beautiful Cambridge

Article text
I’m delighted to have my pearl and gemstone jewellery exhibiting in Cambridge Contemporary Crafts’ Spring show. The Gallery is beautiful - a gem itself in the centre of Cambridge, stocking work by some wonderful designers.

Visiting Cambridge, we came across this stunning art installation in a tiny church by Kettle’s Yard. It is made from hundreds of those little baskets you get on the table in restaurants with bread in. It was meant to give the impression of an ocean wave and walking into it did give you that feeling. It also reminded me of being inside a murmuration of birds or a shoal of fish.

Such an impact on the senses, and heart-melting when you realised the simple everyday objects it was made from.
